Official: AC Milan vs. Liverpool starting XIs – Ibrahimovic and Messias start against rotated Reds

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has named five changes from the team that beat Salernitana for tonight’s game against Liverpool.

As confirmed by the club, the Rossoneri will have Mike Maignan in goal, Pierre Kalulu at right-back, Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli as the centre-backs and then Theo Hernandez at left-back.

Sandro Tonali and Franck Kessie will be the midfield double pivot with a trident ahead of them consisting of Junior Messias on the right, Brahim Diaz as the playmaker and Rade Krunic on the left behind striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who will finally get his first start in the competition this season.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Kalulu, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Messias, Diaz, Krunic; Ibrahimovic.

Bench: Tatarusanu, Jungdal, Ballo-Touré, Florenzi, Gabbia, Bakayoko, Bennacer, Saelemaekers, Maldini.

Official Liverpool XI (4-3-3): Alisson, Williams, Phillips, Konate, Tsimikas; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Morton, Minamino; Salah, Origi, Manè.

Bench: Kelleher, Davies, Fabinho, Keita, Gomez, Robertson, Matip, Dixon-Bonner, Bradley, Arnold, Norris, Woltman.

    rightly so a very tough one with slim chances to qualify tbh, yet such an excitement to be still on it.

    ps; I’d prefer to see Ibra as a substitution to allow us as a starting point endure against Liverpool high tempo
