Official: Milan dealt blow as tests confirm injury setback for Hernandez

Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabria both underwent tests at Milanello this morning after leaving international duty with injuries. A muscle injury was confirmed for the Frenchman, whose recovery time remains unknown.

Calabria was subbed off at half-time of Milan’s game against Napoli and Hernandez complained about pain afterwards. As such, they both left international duty early and returned to Milanello, where they underwent tests today.

As learned by SempreMilan.it’s Luca Maninetti via the club, the test revealed a muscle strain for Theo’s right adductor. Calabria, on the other hand, didn’t have a muscle injury and will thus be able to return to training shortly.

Hernandez will be tested again next week and more details on his recovery will be known then, but it’s likely that he will miss Milan’s game against Empoli. The goal will then be to have him back for the Chelsea game.
