Official: Milan vs. Monza starting XIs – Roback and Daniel Maldini from the first minute

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has handed a first start to young forward Emil Roback for the Rossoneri’s friendly against Monza at San Siro.

Milan got their 2020-21 preseason underway with a 4-2 friendly victory against Novara at Milanello on Wednesday evening.

The Rossoneri – who were without a number of key players who are away on international duty – found themselves 2-0 down inside 15 minutes of a game which consisted of three 20-minute periods.

However, they roared back scoring four times in 30 minutes with goals from Lucas Paqueta (x2), Davide Calabria and Diego Laxalt.

They will be hoping for a slightly easier ride and a better runout when they take on Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani’s Monza

This is the 11 Rossoneri who will face Brocchi’s team…

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): A. Donnarumma; Calabria; Duarte; Bellodi; Theo; Bennacer; Kessie; Maldini; Paqueta; Roback; Ibrahimovic.

Official Monza XI (4-3-1-2): Lamanna; Sampirisi; Scoop; Bellusci; D’Errico; Barberis, Finotto; Chiricò; Armellino; Maric; Lepore.
