Official: Milan’s starting XI vs. Vicenza – Colombo from start as two players return

By Isak Möller -

In less than 20 minutes, Milan will take on Vicenza at the Milanello in what will be their third friendly game this pre-season campaign. Two players are back from international duty and will play from start.

They are Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, who have been on international duty with Italy and Turkey respectively. Perhaps surprisingly, Lorenzo Colombo will start up front, meaning Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be on the bench.

Rade Krunic will get the chance alongside Ismael Bennacer, rather than the latter’s usual partner Franck Kessie. Furthermore, Nikolaos Michelis will start in the centre of defence instead of Gabriele Bellodi, partnering up with Leo Duarte who has to improve.

Milan XI (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Michelis, Duarte, Hernández; Krunić, Bennacer; Castillejo, Çalhanoğlu, Maldini; Colombo.

The game will be streamed on the club’s official app, as well as MilanTV, and kick-off is scheduled for 17:00. Hopefully, the Rossoneri will make a good impression and grab the win in their penultimate friendly of the pre-season.
