Official: Milan forward Okafor leaves Switzerland camp with a ‘minor head injury’

By Isak Möller -

Noah Okafor has been forced to withdraw from the Switzerland camp due to a minor head injury, as announced by the Swiss Football Federation. The AC Milan striker will thus return to Milanello in the coming days.

Milan will be back in training at Milanello tomorrow and Okafor could perhaps be present to undergo medical checks with the Rossoneri staff. As was announced by the Swiss Football Federation, the reason for his withdrawal is a ‘minor head injury’.

Stefano Pioli will be hoping that it isn’t anything serious, as the week after the international break will be very demanding (Juve, PSG and Napoli in seven days). If available, Okafor will certainly get a decent amount of playing time in these.

As said, Okafor will likely be at Milanello in the coming days to undergo further tests/checks before returning to training. We will keep you updated on the matter.

  1. Why these international break always be a double edge sword?

Players who didn’t get called up to their national team can take some break from the tight schedule. But the ones who got called up usually have injured in their training camp.
