Nirash Perera has renewed his contract with AC Milan following a successful season with the Primavera, now expected to play a bigger role for the Futuro.
While it hasn’t been a brilliant season for the Primavera as a team, currently in 14th place and just five points above the relegation zone, there have been some individual positives. The captain Filippo Scotti is one, as are Simone Lontani and Fabio Pandolfi as was highlighted recently.
However, as confirmed by a contract renewal statement on Milan’s website yesterday, there is another player who should take the step up to the Futuro next season: Nirash Perera. Indeed, the left-back has extended his contract with the club.

“AC Milan is delighted to announce that Nirash Perera has renewed his contract with the Club.
The 2007-born defender, who has already been a Rossonero for nine seasons, will continue to be part of the Milan Futuro Project, an initiative dedicated to the growth and development of young talents,” the statement read.
The 19-year-old has played mainly as a left-back for the Primavera this season, but if needed, he can also do a job in midfield. He has two goals to his name and the most recent one came in the win against Genoa, which you can see in the video below.
