Official: Pioli names 19-man squad for Man Utd game – six key players out as crisis continues

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has only been able to name a 19-man squad for the first leg of the tie against Manchester United.

Milan make the trip in good spirits having emerged 2-0 victors over Hellas Verona at the weekend, which cemented their second-placed spot in the Serie A table. They will face a United side who are also confident having won the Manchester derby 2-0 at the weekend, but one that are in a bit of chaos with selection issues due to injuries themselves.

The Rossoneri go into the Europa League last-16 game battling yet another injury crisis though, and there will be no Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer, Hakan Calhanoglu, Ante Rebic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Mario Mandzukic available for the game.

Below are the 19 players that Pioli has called up for the trip to England, as confirmed by the club’s official website.

Goalkeepers: A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma, Tătărușanu.

Defenders: Calabria, Dalot, Gabbia, Kalulu, Kjær, Romagnoli, Tomori.

Midfielders: Castillejo, Díaz, Kessie, Krunić, Meïte, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

Forwards: Leão, Tonin.
