Official: Pioli names 21-man squad for Liverpool game – Ibrahimovic, Krunic and Bakayoko out

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has named his squad for tomorrow’s Champions League group stage opener against Liverpool.

It has been seven long years since Milan last took part in the Champions League and it is rather fitting that the first team they will play upon their return is the last team they beat to win the trophy all they way back in 2007.

Group B certainly comprises of several tough opponents as Liverpool are joined by LaLiga champions Atletico Madrid and Portuguese giants Porto who of course knocked Juventus out and appear to be a difficult prospect.

Below are the 21 players who will be at Pioli’s disposal for tomorrow’s game against Liverpool, which will kick off at 21:00 CEST, as confirmed by the club’s official website.

Goalkeepers: Jungdal, Maignan, Tătărușanu.

Defenders: Ballo-Touré, Calabria, Florenzi, Gabbia, Hernández, Kalulu, Kjær, Romagnoli, Tomori.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Díaz, Kessie, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

Forwards: Giroud, Leão, Maldini, Rebić.
