Official: Pioli names 22-man squad for Crotone clash – Leao and Paqueta included

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of tomorrow’s clash against Crotone, Stefano Pioli has named the 22-man squad that will make the away trip. The manager revealed the list shortly after his usual press conference, which you can read in full here

Alessio Romagnoli is still injured and will miss the game, with his return expected perhaps next week. Leo Duarte and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, after testing positive for COVID, will also miss the game and it seems no one else is infected.

Ante Rebic is back in the squad after serving his ban in the Europa League, which is valid for the play-offs as well. He’s expected to start on the left-wing and now that Ibrahimovic is missing, his composure will be very important in front of goal.

Rafael Leao and Lucas Pauqtea have also been included. The latter has missed out as of late due to his displays in training, failing to convince the coach, and also perhaps because of the transfer rumours.

Goalkeepers: A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma, Tătărușanu.

Defenders: Calabria, Gabbia, Hernández, Kalulu, Kjær, Laxalt.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Çalhanoğlu, Díaz, Kessie, Krunić, Paquetá, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

Forwards: Castillejo, Colombo, Leão, Maldini, Rebić.
