Official: Pioli names 22-man squad for Fiorentina clash – Primavera duo included

By Isak Möller -

Stefano Pioli has named his squad for Milan’s encounter with Fiorentina tomorrow, which is very important for his side. After the defeats against Napoli and Man Utd, they need a win to pick themselves up.

The manager has included 22 players in his squad as six first-team players are out injured: Davide Calabria, Alessio Romagnoli, Ante Rebic, Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic. Therefore, he has included two Primavera players in the squad.

Goalkeepers
A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma, Tătărușanu.

Defenders
Dalot, Gabbia, Hernández, Kalulu, Kjær, Stanga, Tomori.

Midfielders
Bennacer, Çalhanoğlu, Castillejo, Díaz, Hauge, Kessie, Krunić, Meïte, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

Forwards
Ibrahimović, Tonin.

The Primavera players are of course Luca Stanga and Riccardo Tonin, who have been with the first team a few times before. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is expected to play from start but he can’t play the full 90 minutes, with Samu Castillejo in line to replace him.

It will be important for the Rossoneri to start the game well and, above all, convert their chances and they have missed way too many lately. With a bit more composure, they would have knocked out Man Utd from the Europa League.
