AC Milan have officially named their squad for the Champions League last 16 tie that is coming up against Spurs.
Milan have made a change to their Champions League squad list as our colleagues at SempreMilan.it report that Sergino Dest has been left out and Malick Thiaw has been included by Stefano Pioli.
Surprisingly, for the two games against Spurs, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mike Maignan have not been included, perhaps because they are considered not yet ready after long respective injury lay-offs.
For clarity, however, it must be said that Milan will still have a window available that will arrive up to 24 hours before the first leg match to still include the French goalkeeper as per article 46.2 of the UEFA competition code.

Tata has kept two clean sheets, in his last two Champions League matches..
As long we don’t lose at home on the 14th, we will have a chance to go through.
In London, Tottenham will have to attack and that would be our chance to hurt them on the counter.
Just get a positive result at home and then with Maignan, hopefully, back by the rematch, we’ll get a chance to go through.

Definitely would have brought in Vranckx instead of Ballo Toure. For a 4-3-3 we have very little available midfielders and Calbria, Kalulu & Florenzi could have covered for Theo if necessary.

What I would really like to know is what the hell happened to Maignan… come on, this guy hasn’t played for fvckin SIX months, which for a goalkeeper would be like, I don’t know, two years for a field player.
Therefore, I repeat the question I already asked here: will this guy ever play at a high level again? I mean, it’s not a rhetorical question or a provocation, I really mean it.
