Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for Bologna encounter – Paqueta, Saelemaekers return

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of tonight’s clash against Bologna, Stefano Pioli has named his 23-man squad. The Rossoneri will be looking to add yet another win to their tally, beating Parma by three goals to one last time out.

The manager is expected to make three changes to the starting eleven, which you can read about here, fielding Ismael Bennacer, Alexis Saelemaekers and Ante Rebic from start. The Belgian is back from suspension and will act on the right flank, as usual.

In addition to Saelemaekers, Lucas Paqueta is also back in the squad. The Brazilian was left out against Parma due to an injury but has now recovered, ready to prove himself on the pitch after what has been a tough season.

Goalkeepers: Begović, A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma.

Defenders: Calabria, Conti, Gabbia, Hernández, Kjaer, Laxalt, Romagnoli.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Biglia, Bonaventura, Brescianini, Calhanoglu, Kessie, Krunić, Paquetá, Saelemaekers.

Forwards: Colombo, Ibrahimović, Leao, Rebić.

Milan are just four points short of a top-five finish, looking to leapfrog Roma and thus secure direct qualification to Europa League. Given the tight schedule, it would be very helpful to avoid play-offs.
