Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for Cagliari game – Meite included; Saelemaekers returns

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has named his 23-man squad for tonight’s game against Cagliari, and there is some good news.

Milan will leave for Sardinia without the suspended Rafael Leao, the injured duo of Matteo Gabbia and Ismael Bennacer, plus the COVID-positive quartet of Rade Krunic, Ante Rebic, Hakan Calhanoglu and Theo Hernandez.

However, Alexis Saelemaekers is back in the fold and has been called up, while new signing Soualiho Meite also makes the 23 and could well be in line to make his debut for the club. A Primavera trio have also been summoned by the head coach.
