Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for crucial Genoa encounter – Romagnoli returns

By Isak Möller -

Milan will take on Genoa at 12:30 CEST tomorrow and Stefano Pioli has announced his squad for the game. 23 players have been called up and among them is captain Alessio Romagnoli, back from injury.

Pioli has been forced to deal with many injuries all season but just in time for the season finale, it’s looking a lot better for him and that is indeed a bonus for Milan. There are no surprises in the squad announced, but it’s nice to see Romagnoli back.

The captain has missed six games as a result of the recent injuries and although he doesn’t have a secure spot in the starting XI, he’s an important figure in the locker room. Down below is the full squad list, as published by Milan’s official website.

GOALKEEPERS
G. Donnarumma, Moleri, Tătărușanu.

DEFENDERS
Dalot, Gabbia, Hernández, Kalulu, Kjær, Romagnoli, Tomori.

MIDFIELDERS
Bennacer, Çalhanoğlu, Castillejo, Díaz, Hauge, Kessie, Krunić, Meïte, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

FORWARDS
Leão, Mandžukić, Rebić.

The Rossoneri haven’t won in their last four league games at San Siro and they will be looking to change that tomorrow with what would be an important win. Hopefully, they won’t mess it up this time out.
