Official: Pioli names 23-man squad for Udinese clash – trio returns; winger left out

By Isak Möller -

Milan are gearing up to take on Udinese away from home tomorrow, which will be their first lunch-time game of the season. Stefano Pioli, prior to the press conference, released his 23-man squad list for the clash.

Gigio Donnarumma and Jens Petter Hauge are back in the squad after testing negative for COVID-19, while Matteo Gabbia has been left out despite also testing negative. Furthermore, Ante Rebic is recovered from his elbow dislocation.

Goalkeepers: A. Donnarumma, G. Donnarumma, Tătărușanu.

Defenders: Calabria, Conti, Dalot, Duarte, Hernández, Kalulu, Kjær, Romagnoli.

Midfielders: Bennacer, Çalhanoğlu, Díaz, Hauge, Kessie, Krunić, Saelemaekers, Tonali.

Forwards: Ibrahimović, Leão, Maldini, Rebić.

Samu Castillejo hasn’t been called up and the reason behind this is a minor muscular injury. Other than that, though, the squad is what you would expect and Pioli is set to play the usual starters from the first minute tomorrow.

The Rossoneri are currently on a 23-game unbeaten run and will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league after the 3-3 draw against Roma. On paper, at least, they shouldn’t have too many problems.
