Official: Pioli names 24-man squad for Spezia game – Dest a notable absentee

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has called up 24 players for tonight’s game against Spezia at San Siro, it has been confirmed.

Milan will be looking to follow up their midweek Champions League success by getting back to winning ways in Serie A as they welcome the Ligurians. Pioli will be without a number of players for the game with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alessandro Florenzi, Davide Calabria, Alexis Saelemaekers and Mike Maignan all out until 2023.

There is no news of particular importance regarding the squad called up for tonight’s game, but Sergino Dest has not been summoned for the game as he continues to recover from muscle fatigue and Pioli does not want to run the risk of it becoming an injury.

Goalkeepers: Tatarusanu, Mirante, Jungdal.
Defenders: Kalulu, Kjaer, Tomori, Gabbia, Theo, Thiaw, Ballo-Tourè.
Midfielders: Tonali, Pobega, Bennacer, Vranckx, Krunic, Adli, De Ketelaere, Bakayoko, Brahim Diaz.
Forwards: Messias, Rebic, Leao, Origi, Giroud

The absent:Maignan, Calabria, Florenzi, Dest, Saelemaekers, Ibrahimovic.
