Official: Ante Rebic completes move to Besiktas on a permanent basis

AC Milan have confirmed that Ante Rebic has joined Besiktas in a permanent transfer, saying goodbye to the Rossoneri after four years at the club.

Rebic arrived in Istanbul on Sunday afternoon and subsequently underwent the medical tests earlier today. On their official website, Milan have confirmed that the Croatian has been sold on a permanent basis to the Turkish side.

“AC Milan can announce that Ante Rebić has joined Beşiktaş JK on a permanent deal. The Club would like to thank Ante and wishes him all the best in his personal life and professional career,” the statement read.

Milan reportedly sold the player for an initial fee of €500k plus an additional €1.5m in bonuses. The Rossoneri could thus bank a total of €2m from the transfer which, in any case, will result in a capital loss.

Rebic was excluded from Milan’s squad for the final games of last season and it’s clear that his relationship with Stefano Pioli completely broke down. Therefore, the transfer was only a matter of time.
