Official: Roma vs. AC Milan starting XIs – four changes from Bologna loss

AS Roma and AC Milan will play their final home and away games of the 2024-25 season respectively at the Stadio Olimpico this evening.

Milan played at the same stadium on Wednesday night in the Coppa Italia final and saw their Europa League dreams ended, losing 1-0 to Bologna. Against Roma it will be an even harder game on paper arguably, given they are still in the top four race.

There will be several players missing for Sergio Conceicao. Theo Hernandez (thigh) and Kyle Walker (illness) will both miss the game. Warren Bondo (ankle) and Samuel Chukwueze (pubalgia) will miss out too.

Tijjani Reijnders and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be the midfield double pivot. Christian Pulisic keeps his place on the right, while Joao Felix gets the nod on the left and Santiago Gimenez will lead the line instead of Luka Jovic.

    1. Okay honestly did no-one see Felix against Bologna in the league, and then Leao in the final? Leao wasn’t just a lot worse, but also didn’t even try. Felix did

      1. You don’t know what you’re watching, Felix is awful whether he tries or not. At least Leao can create moments of brilliance and is our only source of any offense (even though he doesn’t track back)

  1. Flying Turtle flew off mid-season, Maldini’s Heir’s jerking off to Como, Bathelomeo never watched the games anyway… we’re the last ones standing, boys let’s gooooo..

  2. season ends today for us. Trying to be positive. Musah is getting minutes. He’s young maybe he learns something useful for the offseason/next season? …. RLC back playing.. maybe is window shopping? give them minutes to see if some other club bites?.. i dont know guys. we are grasping straws. I will enjoy the game, root for our boys and hope for the best. It has been a terrible season, but we’ve been here before, we will be back and hopefully it wont take as long as last time. cheers guys.

  3. Mendes trying to sell Felix to someone this summer so hard. Maybe he delivers once for change.

  4. Conceicao obviously wanna get back at Milan by chosing the shittiest lineup he can without making it too obvious.

  5. Writing this as of half time…..I swear we don’t learn our lesson. Do we (the players, management, coach, anyone) understand that if we win this game, we have at least a shot at European spots in the final game of the season…still. smh 🤦‍♂️. It’s incredulous. We give up wayyy too easily. We dont seem to fight to the end. As of writing Juve is drawing Udine, Fiorentina is leading Bologna and if we were ahead of Roma we’d be one point behind them and then anything can happen on the final day. Where’s the never say never. It bothers me so much. The nonchalance

  6. Sigh 2-1….there’s only one person than can get us out of this mess and ensure victory…and that person is Lord Emerson. You guys may think it’s only Bonera and Bendtner that has the title Lord bestowed upon them but no….there’s a new Lord in town and he is Emerson.

  7. How is Sottil and Leao on the same side of the field ? What is this man’s tactics ? I have never seen a more clueless coach in my entire life. WTF
