AC Milan and Inter will not be able to demolish the San Siro and build a new stadium together on the land after a new measure was taken to protect part of the structure.
An announcement was made on Tuesday by the Lombardy Regional Commission for Cultural Heritage (via La Gazzetta dello Sport) which confirmed that the second ring of the stadium was being placed under an anti-demolition restriction by the Superintendency.
This is because the second ring is turning 70 years old, achieving a status where it is protected by law and cannot be demolished after 2025.
It had become clear among all of the bureaucratic stoppages that Milan and Inter were not going to be able to carry out their original plan any time soon, but they will both now need to commit to building their own stadiums away from San Siro.
As things stand, it is most likely that Inter will head to Rozzano and Milan will head to San Donato.
Can’t blame them, they’re envious on Romans and want they’re own colosseum in Milano.

Ac milan and inter each pays 8.,5 mil euros a year in rent and there will be some huge investments in renovations so i suspect that the milanese citicens will have a tax raise in the coming years.
Or they erase discount tax for foreign player & increase tax for player & coach in both club
without specifically knowing it as i isnt italian i would assume thats something decided in rome and not locally so not sure if i understand what you mean by that exactly.
Whats the point in protecting an old object if you are not gonna maintain it? Without the clubs on it this stadion is never gonna bring enough money in to justify its existence
Why not just tear down the stadium before it reaches Heritage status?

Uh, what? And where do you supposed Milan and Inter will play until their stadiums are built which will still take several years???
Also the clubs doesnt own the stadium, who would pay for the demolishment, ac milan at least has bought an area for their new stadium, Im also fairly confident that both clubs have a lease untill 2027, Its also in the plans that san siro could become a cl final destination in the coming years and we could propably keep going for hours about all the obstacles in staying in that area.
And AC Milan will play in what stadium ? Renting atalanta stadium till 2030 ? Thats too long dude. Better build in san donato new stadium and renting san siro till new stadium ready
To reach top of the world, we need own stadium that like nothing else in the world. All top team already did that for a long time : Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern, Chelsea, Man.Utd, Man.City, Arsenal, etc. Only Italian clubs are late for a decade or more.
So i support this, i hope San Donato’s Stadium will be like nothing others in the world, just like AC Milan. “THE CATHEDRAL” but we are “Il Diavolo Rosso”. Represent out kit : Red-Black (Top) & White (Short). So i already like the name, represent our Home Kit.
