AC Milan have confirmed that Santiago Gimenez has undergone minor surgery to correct an issue in his ankle.
In the past few days, there had been growing reports suggesting that Gimenez’s ankle issue was becoming quite a worrying one in terms of not improving over time as hoped. Thus, the idea of having an operation on it gained momentum, especially after a visit to a specialist.

Now, the official website has confirmed that Giménez underwent arthroscopic debridement of his right ankle today in Amsterdam. The procedure, performed by Professor Gino Kerkhoffs in the presence of AC Milan’s medical staff, was fully successful.
Following the planned recovery period of one week, Santiago will return to Italy to continue his rehabilitation programme. No further details are given regarding the timeframe for his full recovery, but it seems certain his 2025 is over and possibly a while beyond.
Reports earlier in the week suggested that he would be back in two months, but it could be closer to three if reports from Mexico are to be believed again. As a reminder, when he first went off injured against Atalanta, ESPN in his homeland rightly called that he would be out for at least a month.

This story needs to be kept hidden because its so embarrassing that a player said himself and posted hes injured and the medical dept didnt know he needed surgury for 2 months and now they send him back to the netherlands to get healed.
This is a player that has not leaved up to expectation amd trying to adapt and improve. He mistakengly injured Jashari . Now is he injured and will miss many matches . This is one of the sources of our problems. So unlucky guy.
The longer he stays away from the pitch Milan’s chances of winning improve.
