Official: Serie A changes referee for Milan vs. Verona to Fabio Maresca

By Isak Möller -

Matteo Marchetti was initially set to officiate the game between AC Milan and Hellas Verona tomorrow afternoon but he has been replaced in a last-minute change. Instead, Fabio Maresca will be in charge.

On their official website this afternoon, Lega Serie A confirmed that Maresca will officiate the Rossoneri’s clash at San Siro tomorrow. He was first listed as the fourth official but will now officiate the game, due to the absence of Marchetti.

Giacomo Camplone will be the fourth official instead and the reason for Marchetti’s sudden exclusion was not given. The rest of the officiating team will remain as first planned, with Valerio Marini in charge of VAR.

The game is scheduled for 15.00 CEST tomorrow and a big crowd is expected at San Siro (at least 70k). The third kit will make its debut for Milan and they will be looking to get back to winning ways after the draw against Newcastle.
