Sevilla have confirmed the permanent signing of AC Milan winger Suso on a five-year contract via their official website.
The Andalusian club recently confirmed their qualification for next year’s Champions League, which a number of outlets reported means that an obligation to buy would be triggered.
MilanNews were among those who stated that an obligation to buy that was indeed inserted into his loan deal in the event of UCL qualification, adding that Milan will receive €24million from the Spaniard’s departure, of which €23.6m is pure capital gains as the club paid a minimal fee to sign the winger from Liverpool.
Now, Sevilla have confirmed that they have ‘made effective’ their ‘purchase option’ for Suso, who will sign a contract for five seasons.
It officially brings to an end a spell at Milan spanning over half a decade during which he appeared in more than 150 matches, amassing 26 goals and 43 assists.
