Official: Sparta Praha vs. Milan starting XIs – 10 changes from team that beat Sampdoria

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Mlan boss Stefano Pioli has as expected made a number alterations to his starting XI for the game against Sparta Praha.

It had been reported all week that Pioli would make wholesale changes to his starting XI for the trip to face Sparta at the Stadion Letna, with qualification for the knockout stages already in the bag.

All that needs to be resolved is whether Milan finish first or second in their group, but there is also another chance for certain players to prove that they belong firmly in Pioli’s plans.

Ciprian Tatarusanu will be in goal while Pierre Kalulu will play in the centre of defence tonight against Sparta together with Leo Duarte and not Matteo Gabbia. Andrea Conti is at right-back (and the captain) and Diogo Dalot is at left-back.

Daniel Maldini won the battle with Brahim Diaz and will be the attacking midfielder behind Lorenzo Colombo, with captain Samu Castillejo on the right wing and Jens Petter Hauge on the opposite flank.

Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tătărușanu; Conti, Kalulu, Duarte, Dalot; Tonali, Krunić; Castillejo, D. Maldini, Hauge; Colombo.

Bench: Moleri, A. Donnarumma, Calabria, Rebic, Leao, Hernandez, Diaz, Musacchio, Gabbia, Kessie, Mionic.

Official Sparta Praha XI (3-5-2): Heka; Vitik, Plechaty, Lischka; Wieaner, Sacek, Souchek, Karabec, Polidar; Michev, Plasvaic.

Bench: Nita, Holec, Moberg-Karlsson, Krjci, Hanousek, Travnik, Vidheim, Krejci, Julis, Gabriel, Rynes.
