Official: Spezia handed big blow as star forward will miss Milan clash

By Isak Möller -

Spezia will be without one of their stars tomorrow as they will take on AC Milan in front of a sold-out San Siro. The player in question is Emanuel Gyasi, who scored the winner in the controversial encounter last season.

As confirmed by the official squad list, Gyasi isn’t present and that is due to a muscle injury that will be evaluated. The forward scored the winner against Milan in the controversial 1-2 win last season, as the Rossoneri were denied a goal because the referee blew his whistle too fast.

There won’t be a repeat of that scenario, therefore, and it’s a big blow for Spezia to not have Gyasi available. David Strelek could start in his place and it would be a big opportunity for the Slovakian, who’s yet to score in the league this term.

Milan will be making four changes to the starting XI, by the looks of it, with Rade Krunic starting in the midfield tandem. It also looks like Divock Origi will get the chance from start up front, giving Olivier Giroud some rest after the mid-week success.
