Ivan Strinic is set to be out of action for a long time. AC Milan have announce that the former Napoli and Sampdoria defender has been diagnosed with heart problems, which also clarifies the deadline day signing of Diego Laxalt.
According to Milan’s official website, Strinic suffers from an initial hypertrophy of the heart muscle. Further check-ups will be made, but only after a period of rest.
For this reason the player will have to temporarily suspend competitive sport activity until the completion of exams.
The Croatian international signed with Milan this summer on a free transfer and was looking to build on a great World Cup run with Croatia with the Rossoneri. However, as of now, it seems the player will be out for a lengthy period of time.
