Official: Tottenham vs. AC Milan starting XIs – three changes as Krunic starts

Stefano Pioli has announced his starting XI for tonight’s clash between AC Milan and Tottenham in London. Compared to the game against Fiorentina, the manager has made three changes.

The back three remains the same in spite of rumours suggesting that Simon Kjaer was in the running. In fairness, the Dane did well in the first leg but if pace is what Milan need tonight, then it’s right to bench him.

Perhaps the most notable change to the XI is that Rade Krunic starts in midfield, replacing Ismael Bennacer who isn’t deemed to be 100% after recently recovering from an injury. Krunic did well against Atalanta and was suspended last time out, so he has had some rest.

Finally, in attack, the likes of Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao are back from start. Olivier Giroud also managed to get rid of the fever that threatened his presence tonight and that is of course a boost for Milan.

Official Milan XI (3-4-2-1): Maignan; Kalulu, Thiaw, Tomori; Messias, Krunic, Tonali, Theo Hernandez; Diaz, Leao; Giroud.

Bench: Mirante, Gabbia, Kjaer, Calabria, Ballo-Touré, Pobega, Bennacer, Origi, Rebic, De Ketelaere, Saelemaekers.

Official Spurs XI (3-4-3): Forster; Romero, Lenglet, Davies; Emerson, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Perisic; Kulusevski, Kane, Son.

Bench: Austin, Whiteman, Pedro Porro, Tanganga, Sanchez, Sarr, Devine, Danjuma, Lucas, Richarlison.
