AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri has named his starting line-up for what will be a tricky away game against Udinese.
Both teams should go into the game with confidence given that it is an early-season battle between fourth and fifth in the table at the Bluenergy Stadium. Udinese have already beaten Inter at San Siro, and have taken seven points from three games, with the importance of the game not lost on Allegri.

Udinese vs. Milan: Official starting XIs
In terms of injury news, Rafael Leao will miss the game as he continues to recover from a calf problem. He is targeting the Napoli match next weekend but Mike Maignan – also out with a calf issue – is tipped to return against Lecce in midweek.
One of the forced changes is in goal therefore, with Pietro Terracciano coming to replace Maignan. The three-man defence in front of him will be Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia (the captain) and Strahinja Pavlovic.
Alexis Saelemaekers and Pervis Estupinan are the right and left wing-back respectively. The midfield three chosen is Youssouf Fofana, Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot, behind a front two of Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez.
Official Milan XI (3-5-2): Terracciano; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Fofana, Modric, Rabiot, Estupinan; Gimenez, Pulisic.
Bench: Torriani, Pittarella; De Winter, Odogu, Athekame, Bartesaghi; Ricci, Loftus-Cheek; Nkunku, Balentien.
Official Udinese XI (3-5-2): Sava; Ehizibue, Kristensen, Solet; Zarraga, Atta, Ekkelenkamp, Karlstrom, Zemura; Bravo, Davis.
Bench: Nunziante, Venuti, Goglichdize, Gueye, Zaniolo, Kamara, Bertola, Palma, Buksa, Piotrowski, Kabasele, Miller, Zanoli, Rui Modesto.

Wow poor Ricci, poor fans.
He came on and instantly upgraded the quality of the team last week. On the back of a great preseason.
Yet Allegri plays Fofana and even Rabiot who has been here a hot minute.
Yep doesn’t take long to remember how infuriating Allegri is to have as manager.
Poor Jashari may pack his bags for a Jan transfer, cause he ain’t getting a look in
To be fair, Jashari is injured. Ricci on the other hand, I think really should be getting a look in. But you Allegri and his “preferences”
No comment until the break. Forza milan
Lol. Ppl forgetting who Allegri is. It’s going to be this lineup bar a few changes here and there, now and then.
Anyways, the boys are playing! Let’s go three points….. Boring or exciting.. let’s get it! 😅😁
Sorry wasn’t meant as a reply to you
Let’s see how the ref screws us over tonight👌
Good teams don’t need excuses
Disagree – football’s a game of fine margins and when the ref ballses them up it makes the difference between winning or losing..
Daniele Doventus is the ref 🤭
So painful that with this couch we can never play good football, even players that will play for years he’s benching them
Omg. If we had a proper no. 9, we’d be squarely in the title race.
Gimenez on fire again tonight 🥹
Come on Santi! Nice turn and solid effort.
Puli has carried us for two seasons and he’s doing it again. He should be an undisputed starter. The others around him can fight for a place next to him.
Deserved lead. Let’s hope allegri doesn’t park the bus for an hour
Sorry, but what is Fofana doing on this pitch.. with so much space no move at all… is there some football knowledge I don’t have can someone explain
Am sure of Top 4 dis season .. I dont want to get carried away even if our football is boring i dont care just get us d d 3 points.FORZA MILAN
It’s a good first half but not a great one. I like the compactness but it’s coming at a cost, we run rings round 4 players so far, Pavlovic, Modric, Rabiot, and Estupinan. We have played on the left most of the game, same for our last game leaving the right wing redundant. Saelemaekers, Fofana has been silent, we are not utilizing the full width of the pitch.
Enough of the Allegri bashing. We ore 0-1 up away from home, and even when the match hasn’t began, some people are already dooming him. Milan is in control of the game as well. When Allegri deserves credit let give him👍.
For such a team as chaotic as of last season, only a defense oriented, proven winner can grind the best results from the boys IMO.
Know ur balance before riding a bike- that’s the basic rule concecao and the other coach couldn’t do.
Pulisic is even more fantastic now.
I kinda feel sorry for Gimenez who does everything right except scoring.
My only issue has to do with the lack of dynamism from fofana.
Let win. Forza milan
I’ll have to agree with you on this one, I was one of those that did not want us to sign Allegri to begin with but now that he is here we need to back him and give him a chance. I guess some people need to buy a stress ball and stop using Milan as one
Welp that’s Fofana securing a starting spot for at least another 10 games 🤭
225 minutes without conceding a goal so far, 0-2 up at Udine. If we can maintain the solidity we are looking good for the next two fixtures with momentum.
at 2-0 Im pretty sure the Spanish commentator of my steam said El musica el fuerte whatever that might mean as i doesn’t speak spanish 😀 Liked the sound of the words though 😀
Puli Puli Puli 🙌🙌🙌
3-0
Alright guys, now make sure you get the clean sheet!!!!!
Funny how our “fans” go quiet when we’re winning. Very unselfish from Pulisic there.
Crazy eh! I’m enjoying this victory thoroughly.
One thing is to critique, which is easy to do, the other part of the fan equation is to cheer on the team! Crickets inside of here lol 🤦♂️😅
Rabiot looks really really good.
I feel bad for GIMENEZ
Modric is SO good. 40 years old and he is owning the pitch.
Where are the ones complaining about it Allegri, Rabiot and Ricci not playing? Not to mention clean sheet for third straight game. I have advice for you – BE QUIET!
Ricci is learning his trade, from one of the best to ever do it in Modric. Give him time. Rabiot is so strong on the ball, he’s exactly what we needed in the midfield. It’s all coming together, momentum and composure is all we require to make a solid push, and all this without Leao
Yup and yet some still complain! Clueless as it gets.
Rabiot was super. Ricci shud be playing instead of Fofana
It’s refreshing to see an actual team play with plan behind unlike last season chaos when there were bunch of individuals running around headlessly without any structure or gameplan.
Indeed it is quite novel to see the team play with some structure and a plan. A lot easier to watch for sure
We are playing so well. I’m impressed
Atakame is a physical beast, quick, good lateral movement, pace and strong.
I liked his composure, very good first outing
What a game.
Very good performance, it’s starting to look like a professional team. We gave away minimal to Udinese. Atakame looked solid with his first touch and Estupian are starting to find his form and place in this team
I am not an allegri hater in 2025. I hated Allegri after hus first tenure. I was happy when he was fired. He has clearly improved since that time. Milan is actually playing like a professional team. It is amazing what a real coach and his staff with clear ideas can accomplish with a team. I am impressed with how solid we look. Hopefully we remain this solid and get even better until the end of the season. I did observe that from the 65th minute, our solidity started to drop. Some of our players were slow to close down the long ranged shots. I can understand why Ricci doesn’t start. Fofana offers a bit more physicality. Overall a good performance.
