With less than an hour left until the game between Milan and Valencia will kick off, Stefano Pioli has named his starting eleven. And there are a few surprises compared to the predicted XI.
Ismael Bennacer is still unavailable after testing positive for COVID-19 last week. Therefore, Sandro Tonali and Tommaso Pobega will once again start in the midfield tandem, both hoping to impress the manager.
Mike Maignan got his full debut against Nice but Olivier Giroud will have to wait for his. The Frenchman came off the bench and scored against Nice but Rafael Leao has been given the nod again.
Official Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan, Conti, Tomori, Romagnoli, Ballo-Toure; Pobega, Tonali; Castillejo, Diaz, Maldini; Leao.
Official Valencia XI: Mamardashvili, Thierry, Gabriel Paulista, Hugo, Gaya, Alderete, Jason, Burlamaqui, Guedes, Cheryshev, M.Gomez.

As mentioned, it’s a very interesting starting XI and it remains to be seen how the players will cope. Above all, after a good display vs. Nice, it will be interesting to see Daniel Maldini. Hopefully, it will be a good game for us fans to watch.

Where to watch it guys? Someone let me know.

Again Leao plays as striker, if Pioli wants to use the boy he should let him play on the left, otherwise better sell him, don’t understand this forcing to play up front
Pioli is just clueless on how to position players. Thats all i can say
Putting Maldini on LW shows the level of compromise Pioli took with eliminating Hauge. He now kiss Paolo’s ass with this move… Why do you even try LW if you are so full of ‘great’ players there?
