Official: Giacinti says goodbye to Milan – “Someone has tried to shatter my biggest dream”

Former AC Milan captain, Valentina Giacinti, has given her salutations to the club. This comes as the player recently had a falling out with the team’s management and more specifically, with coach Maurizio Ganz.

The forward’s most likely destination was rumoured to AS Roma, as it was said that she already had an agreement with the team, and they confirmed the signing this afternoon.

Giacinti published a statement on her Instagram profile thanking Milan for her time with the club.

“I would like to say thank you to AC Milan and salute the fans that have been by my side for four years. I want to thank you because I understand one thing, and that’s sometimes you don’t need badges, trophies, or anything else to get into people’s hearts, but you simply just need to be yourself.

“I can only tell you that I have always been myself in every moment, every game, and after every game, where I defended and fought for these colors.

“One thing is certain, that I will always be true to myself, even if someone has tried to shatter my biggest dream, which is that of becoming a symbol of Milan.

“I will have much to say but I want to focus on telling you that health comes first.

“I will now open a new chapter of my life and I am very fortunate because in my drawer, I have many other dreams to achieve.

“I will always carry you with me.”
