Official: Victor Eletu undergoes surgery and will miss UEFA Youth League semi-final

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan Primavera will be without Victor Eletu for the rest of the season after the Nigerian youngster had to have surgery on an injury.

As has been announced by the AC Milan Youth Sector on X, the 2005-born midfielder suffered a serious knee injury that required surgery and the procedure took place on March 28 at the Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio Orthopedic Institute.

They say that the surgery went perfectly and Eletu can now undergo a period of recovery as he looks ahead to next season.

Milan sit seventh in the Primavera table and are not fighting for a trophy domestically, but they are into the final four of the UEFA Youth League and Eletu has been one of the star performers in that tournament.

Milan will face FC Porto in the semi-final later in April and the potential final is on April 22, so there is no hope of Eletu recovering in time.

He has played five of Milan’s eight Youth League games this season and has featured in 20 league matches, scoring three times and getting four assists.

He will be a serious miss for Ignazio Abate and he must find a new way to sure up his midfield for the match against Porto.

  1. See. These kids body are still fragile because they’re still developing.

But some people wants these kids to play with the first team against grown up / veteran players where one tackle could send these kids fly straight to the hospital lol.

These kids needs to grown up first before they become regular first team players.
