By Isak Möller -

Following the clash between AC Milan and Lazio at Stadio Olimpico, in which he scored the winner, Noah Okafor spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the win. Indeed, it was a crucial goal for the Rossoneri.

Thanks to the win, Milan are now just one point behind Juventus in second place, with the Bianconeri facing Napoli on Sunday evening. After three consecutive games without a win, it was crucial for the Rossoneri to bounce back, even though it wasn’t pretty.

Speaking to DAZN after the game, as cited by MilanNews, the MOTM (as named by us) Okafor shared his thoughts on the crazy ending and his goal. He also stated that he hopes this is the starting of something new for him, having struggled with injuries.

As in the reverse fixture, you came off the bench and scored…

“I’m very happy to have scored and above all to have contributed to clinching the three points. Difficult match, but we won it.”

After this match, does a new season begin for you?

“I hope so, I work every day to be available to the team and to score goals.”

Difficult and nervous match: how important was it to win?

“Very intense, we had difficulties in the first half. In the second, we broke free and found the victory.”

Important victory also in view of the Europa League?

“We have to stay calm, return to Milan and work hard for both the league and the Europa League.”

Milan will face Slavia Praha next at San Siro and at the weekend, they will be up against Empoli at the same stadium. The wins are needed to build on this confidence boost, as well as to improve the situation in both competitions.
