Ahead of Slovan Bratislava vs. AC Milan, Noah Okafor has spoken about his return to the team for the competition, and the game that the Rossoneri must play.
Tonight’s fixture is incredibly important for Milan. Not only do they have a chance to strengthen their Champions League progression chances – which could add significant funds to the budget – but there is also a chance to bring fans back on board.
The draw against Juventus had an effect on the fans, and the Rossoneri now must give them a reason to become confident once again.
A win against Slovan is expected, but solely winning will not do. Milan cannot afford the luxury of a passable, as Paulo Fonseca must show the dominant side that he promised when he joined in the summer, rather than the side that played this weekend.
To do this, the Portuguese has made several changes to his squad, one of those being Okafor for Rafael Leao, and the Swiss winger spoke about the fixture to Milan TV, via Milan News.
“It’s my first start in this Champions League. We’re fine, we’re ready to try and win. We have to be ready, press and be good at taking advantage of the chances we’ll have.”
The winger also spoke to Sky, and once again his words have been relayed by Milan News.
How are you?
“I’m always ready, today we play in the Champions League and you always have to be ready. We played well in the last games, we can’t wait to take the field.”
The results in the last period…
“We did well in training, you can see that we are hungry. The important thing is to always have your head up and give everything, the results will come.”
Are you ready today?
“I’m fine, I feel fit, I have confidence. When the coach calls me I’m ready”.
