Coach reveals what Milan can expect from new teenage winger: “He reminds me of Rafael Leao”

By Oliver Fisher -

The coach of Bob Murphy Omoregbe at Borgosesia – Manuel Lunardon – has revealed just what AC Milan can expect from the young winger that they have wrapped up the signing of.

Nicolo Schira reported earlier in the week that the transfer of 18-year-old Omoregbe to Milan is a ‘done deal’ and he will join for a €100k transfer fee on a three-year contract and will play for the Primavera from January.

According to the latest from the same journalist, Omoregbe actually went to Milanello in the last few days to learn about the facilities of his new club and see the training complex for the first time.

Now, his head coach Manuel Lunardon has been interviewed by Schira about the young winger so that Rossoneri fans can gain some understanding of what to expect from him ahead of his arrival with the Primavera.

“He is a 2003-born striker, a pure talent. In addition to the player, I want to emphasise the decent guy he is. Bobby is loved by everyone: what impresses me in training is his desire to work and always improve. Often many of his peers are immature, but he is very professional and judicious. On the pitch he never holds back: he is not a slacker and trains well,” he said (via MilanLive).

“He reminds me of Rafael Leao, who among other players Bobby really likes. The Portuguese is even more technical, but with due comparison I see certain things about Bobby in Leao. Both have great physical power combined with extraordinary speed. Physically Bobby has yet to be trained.

“A splendid boy. Everyone is looking for him right now as you can imagine, it would be easy to get away and maybe lose the right path, instead he has his head on his shoulders and has not lost the humility that has always distinguished him. Many would think only of football in his place, but Bobby is on the ball even at school, where he doesn’t miss a lesson and also has excellent grades.”
