May 13 is a very memorable and special day for AC Milan fans, and for a number of very good reasons.
First of all chronologically comes the Champions League semi-final between Milan and Inter 18 years ago. After the first leg ended 0-0, Andriy Shevchenko’s first half goal was enough to give the Rossoneri the away goal they needed to go through after a 1-1 draw.

Then, nine years ago back in 2012, a rather more emotional spectacle took place. A packed San Siro gathered to see Gennaro Gattuso, Pippo Inzaghi, Alessandro Nesta, Mark Van Bommel and Gianluca Zambrotta all play their last games for the club. Little did they know, it would also be the last games for Seedorf, Ibra and Thiago Silva until the Swede returned midway through last season.
