Onda Cero: PSG confident of signing Milan star Theo Hernandez with contacts underway

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez continues to be the subject of interest from Paris Saint-Germain with contacts underway, a report claims.

The Frenchman has been one of Milan’s standout performers in what has been a difficult season for the Rossoneri. He has amassed six goals in competitions making him the second-top scorer in the entire squad.

Alarm bells were ringing over the weekend though when his agent Manuel Garcia Quilon left the door slightly open regarding his client’s future.

“Interest in Theo? He is the best full-back in Serie A, it is obvious that many clubs are interested. We’ll see,” he told Transfer20 (via milanlive.it).

According to the Spanish outlet Ondacero, PSG sporting director Leonardo wants Theo to replace Layvin Kuwarza on the left side of the defence.

The report claims that there have already been contacts and ‘everything seems to indicate that it will be one of those first summer operations that end up giving a great result’.

The main obstacle at present is that the Rossoneri are not going to sell him on the cheap, and given the money PSG recently paid out to sign Mauro Icardi permanently, the Ligue 1 giants may need to abstain from spending further big sums.
