MN: One week remains until the window shuts – the business Milan are looking to do

By Oliver Fisher -

There is now just one week until the transfer window closes and AC Milan’s business is not yet done, according to a report.

MilanNews recalls how Milan have to date signed Divock Origi on a free transfer from Liverpool, Charles De Ketelaere for €32m plus €3m from Club Bruges and have bought both Junior Messias from Crotone and Alessandro Florenzi from Roma on permanent deals. Tommaso Pobega and Yacine Adli have also returned from loans.

However, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are not done there as the squad will be completed with at least two other signings. The first is a central midfielder who numerically replaces Franck Kessie, with Jean Onana of Bordeaux the main target in a €5-6m permanent deal.

The second is a central defender as an alternative to Pierre Kalulu, Fikayo Tomori and Simon Kjaer. Japhet Tanganga from Tottenham is still followed, but there is still no agreement on the formula.

There should be no major sales in the last seven days, especially not Rafael Leao despite the talk of a big bid from Chelsea. In the balance remain the futures of Fode Ballo-Touré (wanted by Galatasaray) and Matteo Gabbia (with Sampdoria keen), however both are unlikely to leave as they would need replacing.
