Franco Ordine aimed a jab at Massimiliano Allegri in his post-match column for Parma-Milan, stating that the second-half performance was reminiscent of Sergio Conceicao and Paulo Fonseca.
After what was an important win against Roma, winning despite experiencing difficulties, Milan headed into the game against Parma with a lot of confidence. Things started well too, as Alexis Saelemaekers and Rafael Leao found the back of the net.
However, a late goal in the first half for Parma back into the game and at the start of the second half, they completely took over. The second goal arrived and as argued by Franco Ordine for Corriere dello Sport this morning (via MilanNews), the collapse was reminiscent of last season.
“Allegri’s new Milan is still under construction. The transformation process from last season’s roller coaster is only halfway complete. The Rossoneri lasted for just one half against Parma, or rather, a few minutes less than a half. The minutes needed for Bernabè to turn the evening around.

“The other Milan, the one we saw in the second half, stuttering and undisciplined, timid and disorganised, seemed like that of Conceicao or even Fonseca, who suffered the first resounding defeat of his tenure in Parma,” he writes.
Allegri knows the above, having already criticised the performance and attitude in his post-match interview. Still, it’s becoming a problem that we have seen it so many times this season already, so the gaffer will have to find an actual solution.

Allegri is a foolish coach
& that foolish coach can bring Milan to the top 4 actually compared to the previous managers..
and you are a fake fan who clearly never watches any games, its so dumb
Milan created more than enough chances to win the game and both goals came from Mistakes on the left side, how is that Allegri’s fault?
He set up Milan to win comfortably and Milan should’ve, we are still comfortably top 4, season is long.
The 2nd half defensive collapse is on the players. They didn’t shut down Parma’s right sided attacks. They gave too much room to Parma’s wing tracks (Estupinan) and didn’t pick up runners in the box (defensive backs).
The first half goal was poor decision making (Estupinan).
Arguably Max’s fault was bringing Estupinan back too quickly. Bartesaghi is a safer bet for next game.
Don’t compare a proper coach to those two rookies from last year. As much as I don’t like Allegri as our new coach, I do understand he is a proper coach. The reason why we can be as critical as we are of the little details this year is because much more is expected given his credentials and his work is clear for us to see. Whereas last year you have to really dig deep to find anything positive about our performances. It’s a big difference
As much as we may criticize the coach which I don’t completely blame him, one person I will pick for our loss is saelemaekers. How can you be stylish in front of a goal when pulisic is very much in position to bury the game. The second attempt is being too slow with overtime in decision making after beating the goalkeeper. He played at such moments as though nothing matters.
