Ordine: No more ‘psycho-physical explanations’ can be used for ‘lost marble’ De Ketelaere

Journalist Franco Ordine has branded Charles De Ketelaere a lost cause as he continues to miss golden opportunities to break his AC Milan duck.

De Ketelaere arrived at Milan for over €30m from Club Brugge and after a season with the Belgian side in which he racked up 18 goals and 10 assists across all competitions many thought he could well be the playmaker that the Rossoneri were looking for.

However, he is yet to score a goal for the club and has just one assist to his name, all while the other signings from the window such as Divock Origi, Aster Vranckx, Sergino Dest and Yacine Adli have all failed to establish themselves too.

Ordine wrote his weekly column for MilanNews and it took on a rather critical tone of the current state of affairs, but in particular he had some interesting things to say about De Ketelaere.

“Stefano Pioli ‘had’ to resort to the much discussed and highly criticised summer market. He couldn’t do anything else. He can’t keep playing the same 11 between now and May 16th,” Ordine began.

“He looked around and unfortunately found the desert! He deployed Origi among other things in his favourite area, on the left, he also bet once again on CDK leaving him in the lane he often occupied with Club Brugge, on the right in an inverted role.

“Sorry what more did they want? Their yield was as follows: zero. With a striking difference: Origi managed to create at least a couple of chances, the other Belgian, costing a fortune, had the opportunity to carve out a different ending with a comfortable ball that could have changed the outcome of the game and also personal destiny.

“He stumbled over the most beautiful chance as can only happen to a 10 year old boy! At this point it is no longer possible to climb onto the mirrors of psycho-physical explanations: gentlemen, give up, the boy with crew cut hair is a lost marble!”
