It seems that there could be movement in the near future from AC Milan, who could appoint Oliver Glasner and Ralf Rangnick.
With the World Cup beginning, clubs will start to watch those representing their nations at the biggest tournament in football. Milan will watch from afar, but they will have far more important things to do in the meantime.

Indeed, they must appoint a manager and technical director before they can have any invested interest in the tournament and players. After all, players would be reluctant to discuss their future with a club who have not yet outlined their own.
In other words, movements need to be made sooner rather than later…
Done deals approaching?
Speaking to QSVS live last night, Franco Ordine stated that things may be closer than they seem, as MilanNews relays.
“It’s clear that the coach seems to be a done deal, that the Austrian federation is waiting to secure Rangnick, and so we’ll have to wait a few more hours before the Austrian coach says he’s not available for a contract renewal, and so the first two pieces of the puzzle fall into place.
“Furthermore, the CEO told me it won’t be Calvelli, but someone else, and then the sporting director will be named. These operations were made personally by Gerry Cardinale. Ibrahimovic continues to say and make it known that he has no intention of being involved in the decisions, but adds that if they ask him for his opinion, he’ll give it to them.
“For me, there are two possibilities: either he’s all in or he’s all out.”
Considering reports have suggested that there could be movement on Friday, tomorrow at the time of writing, it could be a busy few days for the club. However, it remains to be seen…

Haven’t been able to offload most of those players, but sure, you seem to have a magic wand.
Glasner would be great. Not sold on rangnick. His renowned for developing talent and selling for a profit which cardinale will love but it’s not in our DNA. Glasner is tactically smart and has good people management skills. He did great despite losing his best players ie eze, guehi, olise. If he can bring mateta with him that would be great.
I think Rangnick will be here to develop talents that Milan can use themselves, first and foremost. As such, we will save money since we now have talents who are actually good enough to help the club, rather than buying 3rd tier talents like Estupinian and Ballo Toure from other leagues.
I mean we will do that regardless of Rangnick, might as well use his expertise to possibly build some sort of core. I’m still skeptical he will arrive, though.

Ordine was one of the “journalists” called up to Cardinale’s hotel for that infamous closed press conference. I don’t normally take stock in his reports, but there may be relevance if he’s being fed info without barking back or asking difficult questions.
Curiously enough, his outtake from it was “the worst is yet to come” which, all things considered, hardly points to Glasner + RR. Somehow that makes me even more nervous.
I read that article again. Ordine’s main reason for saying that was because Cardinale had explained that he did not want an Italian coach or director.
At the time of that, meeting, Glasner and Rangnick’s names had not come up yet
If there’s truth to this then this is certainly the best piece of business done by the American since his arrival.
