Tuttosport: Origi a bright note from Sassuolo disaster – goal must be a starting point

There were barely any positives to take from the 5-2 loss against Sassuolo on Sunday, but one of them was the bright performance from Divock Origi off the bench.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) has a section titled: “There is a (small) happy note: the awakening of Origi.” The paper talks about how one of the very few positive notes for Milan in the horrendous defeat against Sassuolo was the beautiful goal scored in the second half by the Belgian centre-forward.

Obviously it’s still too little because expectations were very high when he landed at Milanello last summer, and given the salary he is receiving, but the hope among the Rossoneri fans and management is that it will be the first step towards redemption after a rather disappointing first part of the season.

It is also worth mentioning that his overall performance was positive too, as he seemed more than willing to run the channels and pursue loose balls that Olivier Giroud did, for example.
