CM: Origi the derby hero again for Liverpool – he should sign €16m Milan deal

By Oliver Fisher -

Divock Origi certainly did nothing to harm his cult hero status as he was influential in Liverpool’s 2-0 derby win over Everton yesterday, but a future in Italy awaits.

Calciomercato.com report how Origi has been a real nightmare for Everton in the past and he was again yesterday as he had a hand in the first goal from Andy Robertson and then sealed the game with a header, meaning he had all of Anfield singing his name.

Paolo Maldini and the agents of the Belgian striker have been in talks for weeks now and an agreement was reached over a four-year contract worth €4m net per season. Soon it will also be time to sign the contracts and complete a free transfer.

Origi is a man for the big occasion and Klopp will be losing a player than he described as ‘world class’ and as a ‘legend’ in his post-match interview, with the former Wolfsburg and Lille man ready for a new adventure in Italy.
