MN: Origi meets management at Casa Milan to discuss 2026 contract

Divock Origi’s contract situation at AC Milan has haunted the Rossoneri for some time, and it seems it will continue for a while yet.

When he left Liverpool, there was a hope that Origi could become somewhat of a similar figure for Milan. If nothing else, a player to provide important goals. Instead, he did neither, all whilst taking an excessive wage.

The past few years have been filled with regret, and the timer is slowly ticking towards the end of the 2025/26 season, when his contract will expire. However, in the past year, it has been more a case of disappearance.

Rather than staying in Milano, the Belgian has been in Rome, away from Milanello and any of the side projects offered. Two different entities, though he still reaps the rewards of the contract which hangs over the Rossoneri’s head.

Another go

Today, the striker was present at Casa Milan for a meeting with the management ‘in full’ as MilanNews write. There were no new topics discussed, just a revisiting of the old; the question of a mutual ending to the deal.

A negotiation is underway, and there are no answers just yet. However, there is a start. If nothing else, there is only a year and five days to go. The timer keeps ticking on until then.

    1. 4- 1 -3 -2 Bartezaghi – Gabbia – Pavlovic – Jimenez
      Rabiot
      Leao – Pulisic – Chukwueze
      Rodrygo – Noslin

  1. Just offer him 50% of the remaining contract to walk. That’s 2M. He can walk and then go sign for Arabia, MLS, or a club in the Belgian League. That saves us 2M. Any savings at this point, however small are welcome! One of the worst transfers, if not the worst transfer in the history of AC Milan.

      1. Did I hurt your little feelings? I didn’t even bring up Vranckx or Dest or Bakayoko or Ballo-Toure… Don’t worry you can still whack off to your Maldini poster every night Bart.

          1. No disrespect, just being honest. He’s the GOAT as a player. As a GM not that great. Problem is people on here are such fanboys that they can’t seperate the two. They think he’s not capable of making mistakes when in fact, he made plenty of mistakes.

    1. stfu.. even if Maldini bring 5 origi’s i’ll still respect him cz he won us 5 UCL too..
u & your beloved foolani done nothing 4 this club so shut-up

  2. Some movement regarding this parasite at last! It just shows that we needed a proper DS badly. I hope we get his ass off the payroll soon.

    1. I really don’t think it’s right to use this sort of language, especially for someone who has never wronged the club or spoken badly about it. You can say that’s easy on his salary but he has every right to it; we never gave him a pre season or a chance and treated him with no respect.

      1. Are you sleeping, he’s been relegated to the youth team yet nothing to prove or are you forgetting that Milan futuro is been relegated???

  3. i KNEW this was the worst free signing in the history of football when it happened. i hoped we would sell him 1 year into his contract. yet here we are..

  4. Can’t they just ask him to work as a janitor instead? Dwight in The Office asked the stripper to answer phones when the strip show got canceled. They had paid for three hours, and they were going to get their money’s worth.

  5. He never speak bad to ACM. It is his contract 4 years that he deserve. It is club fault that give him 4 years contract, should just 2 years + 1 years option to extend. Now lets hope he agree to take just half his salary for termination ( 2m euro nett)

  6. Everyone here should just ignore this little boy that clearly doesn’t have respect for the badge…we won the league with Maldini there, so regardless of who he signed etc, he still built a team that won…now your favourite little Americans are destroying this club…a once great Italian cornerstone of football is now just becoming 11 random players… that win FA
