Osimhen and Simeone’s absences confirmed by De Laurentiis and Tuesday training

By Oliver Fisher -

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed that Victor Osimhen will not feature tomorrow against AC Milan at San Siro.

Napoli have found themselves in somewhat of a crisis in the centre-forward department as Osimhen suffered a left adductor injury after international duty with Nigeria while Giovanni Simeone is also out and there are doubts about Giacomo Raspadori.

Nevertheless, the hope of Luciano Spalletti and the Partenopei fans was to have Osimhen back for tomorrow night’s match at the San Siro against Milan in the first leg of the quarter-finals in the Champions League.

However, De Laurentiis has extinguished those hopes. According to what La Repubblica (via Calciomercato.com) writes today, the Napoli president was on vacation in Ischia and stopped to answer the fans regarding Osimhen’s conditions.

“Victor is not in a position to play, unfortunately. We hope to have him back at the latest for the return match on April 18 at the Maradona,” he said.

Meanwhile, MilanNews confirm that neither Osimhen nor Simeone trained today in what is the final session before the game. Raspadori on the other hand is carrying out individual work.
