MN: Over 60,000 fans expected at Marseille vs Milan friendly

By Euan Burns -

Over 60,000 fans are expected to be in the stadium for AC Milan’s friendly against Marseille on Sunday evening, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News, the Stade Velodrome is going to be sold out for the visit of the Rossoneri.

There have been some historic and controversial matches between the two sides over the years and it is thought that there will be a very tense atmosphere in Marseille.

The game kicks off at 18:00 CET and there will be more than 60,000 fans in the stands.

Another reason for the intense atmosphere is that Marseille’s domestic campaign kicks off next weekend so this is the last chance for the fans to take a look at their team before the real action begins.

It will be a very valuable test for Stefano Pioli’s players as they may not be as fit as the French side and they will not be able to hear their own fans.

  1. This is it guys. First UCL atmosphere fight. Marseille just lost Boubakar Kamara, but they have Gerson (Kessie type midfielder with good goals). And they also have Payet, Milik and Cengiz Under from mou’s roma.
