Rumors regarding the future of Gabriel Paletta have been circulating since late into the previous season. The signing of Matteo Musacchio has all but sealed the fate of Milan’s top red card earner.
It is now well known of former Milan manager Sinisa Mihajolvic’s admiration for the center back. Being at Torino now, the Serbian manager is keen on bringing Paletta to Turin.
Paletta’s agent has confirmed his contract will expire on June 30th without renewal, at which time Torino will be free to sign the player at their liking.
“His contract will not be renewed. Torino? Paletta will join Milan for the training camp first, then we will see what happens.”
History can tell us that comments like this tend to mean one thing. Gabriel Paletta will be a Torino player for next season. While no agreement has been reached, it is not farfetched to believe contract talks have been initiated between the two parties.
