‘The new Musiala’ – Palma suggests Milan have Germany wonderkid on their radar

AC Milan have been considering a few attacking midfielders recently and today, they have been linked to a new option from Germany.

In the past few years, Milan have had an obsession with signing talents from France. However, things may not be changing with the uprise in reports about interests in talents from elsewhere. Italian players with experience have been a common link recently.

However, the Rossoneri have also began to be linked with German players more frequently. Leon Goretzka is a prime example, but he is not alone and today, a new name has been brought into the mix.

Milan watching ‘new Musiala’

Speaking on the Maracanà broadcast on TMW Radio, the scout Marco Palma was once again present and he has suggested that Milan and Napoli are keeping tabs on a player deemed ‘the new Musiala’, as MilanNews relays.

“Mert Komur, born in 2005, attacking midfielder for Augsburg. This German Under-21 international of Turkish origin is making a strong impression in the Bundesliga. Creative, with excellent basic technique, and being both feet, he is very unpredictable in his play.

“His great speed allows him to also perform well as an attacking winger. A product of the 1860 Munich youth team, he moved to Augsburg at fourteen, where he quickly became one of the key players in the first team.

“A member of the national team since the Under-15s, he is a very modern player and highly sought after on the transfer market; in Italy, he is being watched by Napoli and AC Milan.

There have been suggestions about a move to a 4-3-3, so it would be interesting to see where he would fit. However, he sounds an exciting talent.

  1. If you’re a ‘wonder kid’ probably best to avoid Milan….

In fact ‘wonder kids’ should just stay at the club that turned them into ‘wonders’ and bide their time to make the right move at the right time.

And the ‘kids’ that dans look on with most ‘wonder’ were the one club wonders.

There’s even now an award for it now.

The One-Club Award introduced by Athletic Club in 2015.

I might have found a new club – Athletic Club, a club that values long serving players.
