Paolo Maldini has sent a message to AC Milan, stating that the bond his family has with the club will never be broken.
There was a lot of speculation in the build-up to last night’s game against Genoa about whether Maldini would attend the 125th anniversary celebrations after being invited, and in the end he did not.
Nonetheless, with today officially marked a century and a quarter since the founding of the club, he wanted to publish a statement to make it clear to fans that he still feels very attached.
Posting on Instagram, the former captain said: “Happy birthday Ac Milan ❤️🖤 for your 125th birthday! No one will ever be able to undermine your bond with the Maldini family, history is memory.”
The amount of players to respond with supportive messages includes Sandro Tonali, Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan, Yacine Adli and Davide Calabria.

True class of a man. Having a pic with Massara shows the level that Paolo is at.
Milan = Maldini = Milan = Maldini
Grande Capitano!!
Simply, the greatest!
Forza Milan e Forza Maldini
Forget the post for a sec ….. I just want to know how Bubbles feel about it 🤣🤣🤣🤣
That guy is a monumental hater. He hates so much it has eroded his reasoning and sense of logic and facts.
I blame the government or his local community, they let a mental patient run free without his meds or locking him up
With Maldini on the Milan management, the players feel calm and they knows what club did they play for… Forza Milan !!
