Paper Talk: Milan plan blitz for Aubameyang; Biglia edging closer

By Isak Möller -

Today’s Italian paper suggest that Milan are working hard for Aubameyang, while Biglia is closer than ever, among other things.

La Gazzetta Dello Sport

Yesterday, during a phone call, Milan presented a new offer to Lazio for Lucas Biglia; €14m. However, Lazio continue to ask for €20m and the difference seems remarkable, but in fact, it isn’t. Lotito could give Milan yet another discount, which would mean adding bonuses related to appearances, reaching up to €18m. Biglia, meanwhile, could sign a four to five-year deal earning him €4m per year.

Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli are planning a blitz in Dortmund for Aubameyang. Tianjin Quanjin are also interested in the player and have already offered €80m to Dortmund. However, Aubameyang doesn’t want to move to China, leaving Dortmund with no other options than to talk with Milan. The Chinese transfer market closes on July 15th and Milan would like to fight off the competition before this. They are ready to offer €60m to Dortmund €8m per year to Aubameyang.

Carlos Bacca is on his way to Marseille, as he wants to play continuously. The French offer could, therefore, be a solution to all parties, although Milan remain firm on their €25m asking price.

Fiorentina’s Croation striker, Nikola Kalinic, is Milan’s plan B for the attack. However, there’s still a gap between both clubs and for now, negotiations have hit a stand still. The player already has an agreement with Milan.

La Repubblica

The difference between Milan’s offer and Lazio’s demands for Biglia is minimal. The latest offer, €15m plus bonuses, is an offer that Lazio most likely will accept.

A De Sciglio-Cuadrado swap is still a possibility, as it would give Juventus the player they want and some extra money, which Milan could cover with the sale of Suso.

Aubameyang is Milan’s first target for the attack, however, the Gabonese striker’s wage demand is a problem. One of Aubameyang and Kalinic will arrive.

Tuttosport

Mirabelli has contacted the father of Aubameyang, to try and lower Pierre-Emerick’s demands. There could also be a meeting between both clubs during the ICC tour in China, where also Yonghong Li and Han Li will be present.

Bacca is closing in on a move to Marseille, who have offered him €4m per year in wages. Milan, however, are still waiting for an official offer as they don’t want to loan out their striker.

Niang could be used as a counterpart in the deal for Lucas Biglia, however, there’s optimism that a deal could be reached without any players involved.

Il Giornale

Lazio have given Biglia and Milan 48 hours, where the San Siro side will try to close a deal. If not, then Biglia will return to the training camp with Lazio.

Nikola Kalinic is Milan’s primary target for the attack, although there could be the surprise that Mirabelli has talked about. Belotti is a name that Milan have been linked with many times already and his arrival is not excluded.
