Francesco Camarda has had a difficult season on loan at Lecce, and his future for 2026-27 remains to be determined.
After the confusion created in the 2024-25 season when Camarda shuttled between the Primavera, Milan Futuro and the first team, the jewel of the academy system moved to Lecce last summer on loan with an option to buy for €3m and a buy-back at €4m.
In short, a €1m development bonus would go to Lecce. However, as Calciomercato.com report, it hasn’t gone to plan so far: the Italian has made just 19 appearances across Serie A and the Coppa Italia (eight as a starter and 11 as a substitute) with one goal and one assist in Serie A.
On January 29th, Camarda underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder at the Humanitas hospital in Rozzano (Milan) to reconstruct the glenoid labrum. This was necessary to resolve a lingering shoulder problem, and he will be out until mid-April but remained at Lecce.
Paratici on the prowl
Camarda always faces high expectations and pressure, which he has proven he can handle to this point. All of Italian football are watching his development with interest, hoping that he can lead the line for the national team for years to come.
The 18-year-old can’t wait to get back on the pitch and to hopefully score again in Serie A with Lecce before an inevitable departure. What about next season? Well, Fiorentina are considering a move: their new sporting director Fabio Paratici is a big admirer and knows his agent Giuseppe Riso well.
Fiorentina are considering changes to their attack, which could see the departure of Moise Kean (though the two options are unrelated). Camarda wouldn’t say no to Fiorentina, although it’s fair to point out that the discussion is still in its infancy.
Milan’s position remains unchanged: Camarda is not for sale outright unless there are sensational, irresistible offers. This is partly due to image concerns, as well as a long-term vision for the teenage striker.
His entourage want him to already be a key player at Milan, but the risk is that he will be overshadowed by more experienced strikers, especially with a big signing planned. For Milan, this is a ‘significant conundrum’ and must be resolved calmly, but without making further mistakes.

The kid needs to fire his agent. He belongs in Serie B until he shows he can score at that level consistently. Pio Esposito did it, and now he’s reaping the rewards. It’s simple.
Pio Esposito was working without the hype. Maybe inter fans knew he was but the rest of us didn’t.
Camarda has been hyped up like he is the savior of Italian football and been compared to Yamal even though he has done nothing to justify that but scoring goals vs players his age.
Hachim Mastour vibes.
Camarda should pkay at Milan. We dont have better and will not have better nect year too( we probably buy some cheap attacker)
Camarda stay and play here or go to Germany or England or Spain. Play for lecce or some disaster clubs you never go up because they not score goals and not have players who make chsince for attacker
Sadly Camarda would be better off far from Milan. ibra has done EFF ALL to improve this kid’s career and put him on a path to succeed.
“Milan’s position remains unchanged: Camarda is not for sale outright unless there are sensational, irresistible offers.”
So… He’ll leave the club for a 5-7M€ fee then. :/
