Fabio Paratici seemingly was heading to the new sporting director role at AC Milan rather uncontested, but this is no longer the case.
In the past few weeks, Paratici’s name has reigned supreme when it came to the sporting director discussion. So, when it was reported that the deal was all but done, there were no real shocks, but the Italian will not arrive now, it seems.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, the talks have reached a ‘sudden stop’, and Milan will now return to looking for a new director.
Whilst the disqualification factor was known, the report states that its impact would be more serious than first imagined, with it being the ‘most delicate’ part of discussions between the two parties. Though it once seemed passable, it has been the leading cause of the breakdown between the parties.
Paratici would not be able to have an impact until late July, which is a huge chunk of time for a club needing to make so many decisions this summer, which is what the Rossoneri need. So, the Diavolo will return to their meetings, with Tony D’Amico and Igli Tare coming back into the fold as the only two named candidates in the report.
Honestly, his work never impressed me. He broke the bank for Ronaldo which took a big tool on Juventus finances. Mostly all of his picks were overpayed (Emerson being one of them lol). I just hope we won’t get another stooge like that D’Ottavio guy or whatever his name was and we’ll have to put on with Moncada. I’d settle for Tare.
My personal combo pick would be D’Amico/italiano or Sartori/Italiano. Highly unlikely tho.
Yeah, I’m not thrilled that he is coming, now I’m glad. Moncanda better stay as Chief Scout
Your Moncada is the main problem of the fall down
Well, the transfer of Ronaldo brings a lot of long-term benefits for the club off the field. Weren’t there reports that social media followers doubled or even tripled after the transfer? A big fraction of those imported fans actually remain followers of the club and this allows for them to suck on the field in the last 5-6 years, yet they still get the highest marketing/merch revenues in the league by a big margin.
Ted d,amico hhh that guy is criminal of killing lots of money for rubbish players no one wants d,amico
I see you having a lot against D’Amico every time he’s mentioned but you never offer explanation.
Please elaborate.
D,amico wasted big money on rubbish players Atlanta used to play cl for almost 6 years all of that years and all of that investment Ederson is the only valuable player in their squad we can’t repeat that mistake Atlanta is good because of gasperini if take off gasperini for sure next year Atlanta is playing serie b there is nothing good about Atlanta other than Gasperini and Ederson we do have so many good players our players are valuable
If you take off gasperini
100% agree. He wasn’t the man we need.
Nothing he did was of his own accord. I bet Agnelli OK’d every single decision and probably even directed the inflation of capital gains. Paratici was the fall guy.
I don’t care for him much either, but at Juve every decision comes from a higher corrupted top. Paratici never worked autonomously I bet. Ronaldo call came from up top as well.
Best news all week if it’s true👌 Hoping for similar bulletin about Allegri…
We won’t be that lucky. He’ll hang in there as an option right until the last seconds. And who knows, maybe he’ll get elected too but the rumors won’t stop though.
Please get d’amico!!! And poach some of his scouts while your at it
Nothing against Paratici, but it was strange that we even considered him given he has a pending trial and he cannot fully operate in the transfer window.
this thing should already clear from the start, like we already know that this guy won’t be available to work until late july,, and the risk of him being jailed with the unfinished/upcoming trial.. but the management keep pushing their ‘ideas’ for this man to be the SD.. like what else do you expect actually?
great d’amico and he can bring us top atalanta talents like CDK and Maldini
Lol. CDK has 5 goals and 6 assists all season. Maldini is a bench player.
Paratici was never the best choice. I feel Sartori is. Tare would flood Milan with Eastern Europeans. D’Amico doesn’t even speak English. No idea where Milan pivots from here.
WTF are you talking about? Tony D’Amico was born in Popoli, Italy. Either way, if what you say is somehow true, it didn’t seem to affect the good work he did at Verona and Atalanta.
w w w.atalantapassione.com/?p=3624 -> three year old article illustrating how how well he did at Verona. His Atalanta track record speaks for itself.
Bring maldini back his the man for that role
I agree. They’re wasting so much time looking for a sporting director, when all they have to do is bring back the guy who helped steer ACM to a Scudetto and a CL semi-final. I’m surprised that an intelligent man like Giorgio Furlani – a Harvard Business School graduate – can’t see that. It’s a no-brainer.
Bring club legend Maldini back.
The man who extended Pioli’s contract.
Bravo legendary player equals legendary SD.
Italian factor… c’mon man, Italian job.
I agree bro. The man that role it’s not far away. That’s is Maldini, but furlani doesn’t want to kiss his own ass. Haha… I think he won’t go to big name like Paratici, he wants to hire another yes man like tare / d’amico.
Paratici want to bring lorenzo giani but furlani doesn’t want to far away from his 2 girlfriends: MoneyYourBall Moncada & Ibrakadabra. so suddenly stop ! Hahahaha…
If CEO Milan still the Godfather Galliani, big name like Paratici with his legal situation, it would be a problem. Still running..🥳🍻⚽⚽🤝🤝
Moncada should be in the movies or modelling business, not sports.
I there are some mad foreigners running Milan to the ground.
